Joanna Preston

Joanna Preston is a Tasmanaut poet, editor, publisher, and creative writing teacher, and chook-mama. She has two award-winning poetry collections out from Otago University Press – The Summer King (2009) and tumble (2021). She teaches at The Poetry Class and at Hagley Writers’ Institute, and brings other people’s books into the world as one of the team at Sudden Valley Press. Joanna lives in semi-rural Canterbury with her Very Understanding Husband, under the (mostly) benevolent wing-tips of a flock of much loved chooks.
