Steph Walker

Steph Walker is the Executive Director of WORD Christchurch, coming home in 2022 for the role after a decade away as a producer, programmer and arts manager in Auckland, Adelaide and Sydney. She held leadership positions at Christchurch Arts Festival during the city’s period of seismic activity (a professional and personal turning point); and at Wellington’s iconic BATS Theatre. Steph has been a keen reader and has dabbled in writing since childhood, although she’s hoping her teenage poems never see the light of day. When not working, Steph is a big sports fan, a music lover and a stress baker.
